One of my favorite aspects of Twitter, by far, is the new (to me) bands that I find. Even better, I rarely have to do more than check my timeline to find them.
Our new Twitter Pick, Rubick, comes from Valencia, Spain. They put out Go Dark While last September and already produced a new self-titled EP this May. They've been getting a lot of attention in Spain, and their popularity is sure to spread quickly.
One thing that is strikingly obvious the more that you pay attention to bands, singers, and songwriters, is that the correlation between talent and success is not very clear. There are some incredible bands who make it huge. There are also a good number of shit bands that make the big time. Who knows why it all works like it does. We'll just do our best to spread the word about good bands from our corner of the internet.
The first video is "Bandits" from the new EP, followed by an acoustic version of "Frozen," originally from Go Dark While.

Rippin' off Oasis in 2012... How original is that?
ReplyDeleteyeah...their profile talks about being a brit pop group and heavily influenced by Oasis. They are hardly pretending not to be. I still really like the music.
